STEEL MILL

The Still Mill is equipped as follows for the productiono of Forging Ingots:
• A 35 Ton capacity arc melting furnace
• A ladle furnace for refining
• A degassing V.O.D. unit to produce low carbon-content steel
• 2 Electro-Slag Remelting furnaces (E.S.R.) that can produce ingots with maximum 1400
mm diameters and 50 Ton weights

CASTING
Materials:
• Stainless steel (Austenitic, ferritic, martensitic and refractory)
• Carbon Steel
• Low-alloyed, alloyed and super-alloyed steel
• Duplex and Super-Duplex stainless steel
• Super-alloys Nichel and Cobalt based
• Special Cast Iron (Ni-hard, Ni-Resist, High Chrome etc.)
• Nodular and Spheroidal Cast Iron
• Stainless steels hardening by precipitation
• Wear resistant steels
Production: A.O.D. (Argon Oxigen Decarburation) furnace up to 16 Ton tap capacity
Castings sizes and weights: Max 15 Ton and 3 X 3 X 4 mt
Heat Treatment: methane and electric furnaces, in addition to cooling tanks, allow to perform
every kind of heat treatment, in full compliance with maximum castings weight and dimensions.

Forging: Hydraulic Presses with capacity up to 6.300 Ton
Manipulators with capacity up to 60 Ton
Max singular forging weight capacity: 60 Ton
Open-die forgings max dimensions: 3,5 mt external diameter and 18 mt lenght
Ring Rolling: Rolling mills for radial-axial rings production
Max singular forging weight capacity: 40 Ton
Max diameter 8 mt and max height 2600 mm
Heat Treatment: electric gas furnaces, methane gas-fired furnaces and quenching tanks,
capable to perform every kind of Heat Treatment, in full compliance with
maximum forgings weight and dimensions.
Machining: parallel lathes, vertical lathes, traditional and numerical control milling and boring
machines, which allow to perform precision the planned machining operations with
high levels of quality and precision.
Rough machining and finish machining are perfomed in full compliance with maximum forgings
weight and dimensions.
